Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation is pleased to present the exhibition Amplify Action: Sustainability Through the Arts in Spring 2012. This exhibition is brought together by the Pratt Center for Community Development and the Pratt Initiative for Arts Community and Social Change (IACSC) with support from the Rockefeller Foundation through the New York City Cultural Innovation Fund. Amplify Action: Sustainability Through the Arts will demonstrate how arts, culture, and media serve as catalysts for social change and engage neighborhoods in a dialogue about sustainable living, making healthy consumer choices, and taking environmental action.

Exhibition Information Content:
Works submitted should examine any aspect of sustainability including ecology, economy, equity, resource conservation and efficiency, environmental consciousness, pollution, agriculture, and health. The works selected for this exhibition will showcase sustainable actions, ideas that present new approaches to sustainable living, works that depict issues and concerns related to sustainability, or works that inspire sustainable practices.

Eligibility:
Artists working in any media from any location are eligible to apply. However, we will not likely provide funding for shipping or handling costs. Artists’ work must be original and completed within the past 1 to 3 years (or currently ongoing). Local, national, or international projects are encouraged. There is no age requirement for this exhibit.

Equipment:
We will do what we can to provide equipment needed, however we strongly suggest that you provide the equipment necessary to properly display your work.

Insurance:
Insurance coverage for artwork in the Skylight Gallery or Restoration Plaza is provided by Bedford-Stuyvesant Restoration Corporation during the exhibit. Insurance coverage for artwork.
